Something for the Kids.....

Chalet Anchorage is perfectly suited for Famillies, & we welcome Children of all ages to our Chalet.

We have a separate area for the kids to play in with bean bags, TV, DVD, books, colouring books & games.  The Table Football, is always guaranteed to bring out the competitive streak in everyone, more so the adults!!

A wide range of movies that appeal to all the family, along with numerous Kids channels on SKY. Along with many fun board games and puzzles, which will hopefully help to keep your little ones amused during your holiday with us.

We are able to provide children’s cots (please bring your own bedding), high chairs, changing mats, as well as car booster seats.

As the chalet is totally secluded and backs onto woodland, there are plenty of nice walks just through our garden.  This also means that there is no passing traffic so your little ones can play outside with the peace of mind that they are totally safe.   The children may also be lucky enough......if quiet, to see the deer wandering down from the forest into our garden at the back of the chalet.

OR...best of all, playing on the sledges, & building Giant Snowmen.....!!

Mums, please also remember to pack their swim suits, for a splash in the Hot Tub.

Food

We realise that children do not always want to eat 'grown up' food, and often want to eat a little earlier after a long day on the slopes, so we are very happy to prepare 'kids friendly' meals, using fresh produce, as their food is just as important to us as the adults meals.

Child Care

We can arrange babysitting, and childcare, with Baby-Cham.com, who are Chamonix's premiere babysitting service. They offer private babysitting within the Chalet & also daily group activities.

Pre Arrival Shopping

We can also do a pre arrival shop for nappies and formula to be bought in advance if you wish.

Winter - Ski School

Les Houches is the ideal family resort, with great snow, short queues, good nursery slopes and the ski school is very close to the chalet.

The ski school in Les Houches is run by ESF, and has over 60 instructors, and offers various different ski options www.esfleshouches.com .  ESF offers great facilities for younger budding skiers (3-5 years) with their own snow playground - Le Jardin Neiges, which is close to the lift centre with two rope tows enabling  children to learn whilst playing in the snow, and more importantly having lots of fun!

Activities

The kids will also be excited by all the valley has to offer: a superb adventure park with tree acrobatics, summer toboggan and daredevil rides, rock climbing, pony trekking or hiking with donkeys - an exciting option for little ones. Or maybe they may like to try their hand at "Mushing", as we can easliy organise Husky driving trips, where you get to drive the Husky's in the snow, which is great fun for all ages!

The sports centre with its swimming pools and water slide will keep all ages entertained and on a wet day there's always the indoor climbing wall, fitness centre and spa, an Olympic sized ice-rink and a cinema complex.

There are also many fun areas for the kids with swings, climbing frames etc, whilst you enjoy a coffee.....

Chamonix has a new kids entertainment company - Le petit VIP, which offers mornings & afternoons, doing activities such as painting, and crafts, they also have a great bouncy castle.

For children from 6 to 12 years

Sports weeks are organised throughout the summer. Join on a weekly or daily basis, subject to availability: tennis, volley, gym, hiking, swimming, outdoor activities...
