Our Food
If you enjoy good food, then look no further for your winter ski chalet....
We
are very passionate about good food at Chalet Anchorage. We believe in using freshly
prepared seasonal & local produce.
Neil has been a working as a Professional Chef in Restaurants all over the world, and privately for VIP's, for over 20 years, and we run a cookery school during the summer. Neil specialises in classical french and Italian cuisines, making fresh pasta's, and freshly baked artisan breads. So you can be assured of restaurant quality cuisine, prepared by your own private chef, as you can see from our previous guest reviews.
"The food was spectacular, and consistently met benchmarks that many restaurants would fall well short of, let alone most hotels. The delicate tastes of the ravioli, and the full hearted flavours of the lamb, demonstrated a really profound skill and a highly innovative choice of meals."

"Neil is a professional chef - everything is prepared from scratch using seasonal produce and every meal was just glorious".
Celebrating a Birthday or have a Corporate Client to impress?
Let us know in advance, and we will be happy to discuss menu ideas, and lay on some surprises and a Birthday Cake......
Alternatively if you are a corporate group wishing to impress a client, we can create and tailor you a menu to suit your guest's palate, or choice of cuisine.
Special dietary requirements?
If you have any particular dietary requirements (vegetarian, allergies, or religious) during your stay, please let us know in advance, so that we can tailor the menu to suit your needs.
Family's & Kids....
At Icona, we do not stick to a rigid menu for all of our guests, and try to tailor the menu to suit the palates and needs of our guests. So, although its wonderful to have restaurant type cuisine cooked for you every night, we recognise that sometimes famillies tend to prefer a more relaxed type menu, with everyone being able to 'dig in', and have a relaxing meal. This by no way means that the quality or quantity is reduced - we just have happier guests!
We also offer the option of providing a more 'kids' friendly menu. For further details please see Family's & Kids.
Breakfast
As you will be probably be on the slopes all day, we believe it's really important to start the day, with a wholesome and hearty breakfast.
You will have a hot pot of coffee awaiting you, with a choice of freshly baked croissants and pain au chocolat, along with a selection of homemade muesili, breads and preserves. Each morning, we will be offering a choice of cooked breakfasts ranging from fresh hot waffles with Canadian maple syrup, cooked breakfast using delicious Cotswold sausages, which are also supplied to the Queen, or just simply eggs ‘n' soldiers.
Afternoon Tea
At the end of the day head back to the comforts of the chalet and treat yourself to our freshly baked cookies, traditional cakes & our gorgeous decorated cupcakes, and a hot pot of tea. Or better still a glass of Vin Chaud in front of the roaring fire and then unwind...
Evening Meal
Once you have recharged with a hot shower, you will then be able to relax for the evening and indulge your taste buds - and your hungry stomach - with a 3 - 4 course evening meal, accompanied by our carefully selected house wines or your choice of wine from our cellar.
